About CallPorch

Local businesses lose high-intent calls because the front desk cannot be everywhere.

CallPorch is a small product with strong opinions about what an AI should and shouldn't do on the phone. We answer calls after hours, qualify the need carefully, hold a slot, and hand the morning team a note they can actually trust.

The product story

Why we built it this way.

Four short pieces — what we saw, what we tried, what we shipped, and what we deliberately left alone.

  1. 01
    The problem

Local businesses with high-intent calls — dental implant consults, emergency tooth pain, roof leaks at 9 PM — lose a meaningful share of revenue after the front desk closes. Voicemail rarely calls back. National answering services rarely qualify.

  2. 02
    What didn't work

Generic IVR menus annoy callers and bury real intent. Untrained virtual receptionists either over-promise or under-collect. Plain transcription dumps the work onto the morning team.

  3. 03
    What CallPorch does

Answers in your brand voice. Captures structured intake. Holds a slot. Sends a short SMS with YES / NO / STOP. Hands the morning team a review-ready note with a source link on every field.

  4. 04
    What stays human

Confirmation of sensitive bookings. Anything that looks like triage. Final pricing. Refunds. Anything outside the scripts a practice has approved. Those decisions stay with the people who own the outcome.

How we work

Five principles, plainly.

  • 01

    Helpful

The job is to capture the call and write a useful note. Not to look clever, not to outscope the practice.

  • 02

    Reviewed

Every confirmed booking and every sensitive call passes through a person before anything irreversible happens.

  • 03

    Specific

Dental implants and emergency vet visits are different jobs. We tune the script, the questions, and the handoff per service line.

  • 04

    No miracle claims

We don't promise full automation. We don't quote results we can't show. We say no when it's the right answer.

  • 05

    Staff-controlled

Owners set the rules; staff can edit them; we surface what changed. The phone line belongs to the practice, not to us.

How we operate

A small team. A clear scope.

CallPorch is operated by CallPorch, LLC. We're a small team of operators and engineers — not a marketing organization with a product attached. We don't publish a head-count chart, vanity awards, or borrowed press logos. When we have something real to share, you'll see it here.
